2. Specific Game Rules: Golf (Draft’Em)
Game Description
Users participate in a live, real-time **snake draft** to build a team of **4 golfers**. The aggregate score of a user’s **best 3 golfers** is used as the user’s score. The user with the **aggregate lowest score** is declared the winner.
Game Style Explained
- **Draft’Em** refers to a **”snake draft”** whereby the draft order reverses each round (e.g., pick first in round one, pick last in round two).
- Draft order is **randomly determined** before the draft begins.
- Once a golfer is selected, they are **removed** from the available player pool.
- A **time limit** will be enforced for each pick. If a user fails to pick, the app will **auto-select** the highest-ranked available golfer.
- After the draft, contest teams are set with **4 golfers** each.
Scoring
- A user’s score is calculated by using the aggregate score of their **best 3 golfers**.
- **Withdrawal/Disqualification:** If one of your golfers withdraws or is disqualified, their overall final score will be a fixed **+15**.
- **Missed Cut (4-round tournament example):** For a golfer who fails to make the tournament cut (typically after 2 rounds), their score is calculated as:
- Their score from the rounds completed counts.
- A fixed **+12 penalty** is added for each remaining round they would have played.
- *Example:* (Score R1 + Score R2) + (+12 Penalty R3) + (+12 Penalty R4).
Autodraft
The autodraft function will auto-select the remaining players for each user after the draft deadline period is up. The draft deadline is **1am CET** the morning of the golf competition.
Leaderboard Tie-Breaking Rules
**Current Primary Rule:** Users are ranked based on their total tournament score, calculated using the **best 3 scores** from their drafted golfers (lowest score wins).
**Tie-Breaking Rule (Primary Tie-Breaker Logic):** If two or more users are tied:
- The game will **recalculate** their total tournament score by summing the scores of **ALL 4** of their drafted golfers.
- The user with the **lower total score** from this “best 4” calculation will be declared the winner of the tie.
**Further Tie-Breaking (Final Rule):** If, after applying the “best 4 scores” tie-breaker rule, users are still tied, the result is considered a **definitive tie**, and the prize pool allocated to that winning position should be **split evenly** among all remaining tied users.
2. Specific Game Rules: Golf (Pick’Em)
Game Description
User builds a team of **5 golfers**. The user can select any five golfers except for the following ineligible players: **Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy, Bryson DeChambeau**.
Scoring
- A user’s score is calculated by using the aggregate score of **all 5** of their golfers.
- **Withdrawal/Disqualification:** If one of your golfers withdraws or is disqualified, their final score will be a fixed **+15**.
- **Missed Cut (4-round tournament example):** For a golfer who fails to make the tournament cut, their score is calculated as:
- Their score from the rounds completed counts.
- A fixed **+12 penalty** is added for each remaining round they would have played.
The Winner is the user with the **lowest total score** at the end of the tournament.
Autodraft
The autodraft function will auto-select the remaining players for each user after the draft deadline period is up. The draft deadline is **1am CET** the morning of the golf competition.
Leaderboard Tie-Breaking Rules
The **order in which you pick your players is critical**, as it serves as the definitive tie-breaker.
- **Initial Tie:** If two or more users are tied after calculating the total aggregate score of all 5 golfers, the tie will be broken by comparing the final score of the **first-picked golfer** for each tied user.
- **Cascade Comparison:** If the scores of the first-picked golfers are also tied, the comparison will proceed to the second-picked golfer, then the third, and so on.
- **Tie Winner:** The user whose higher-priority golfer (e.g., first-picked) has the **lower final score** will win the tie.
- **Final Split:** If the users’ final scores are identical across all five (5) selected golfers, the prize will be **split evenly** among the remaining tied users.
