Game Rules

1. General Game Rules

In our application, when referring to a sweep, we are referring to a contest.

Eligibility

  • Users must have a registered account within the Sweep Games mobile app.
  • Users must be over 18.
Game Format

  • Please see the Specific Game Rules section below, as different sports have different formats.
Entry Fees

  • Sweep Games does not currently accept deposits or entry fees. All contests are free to play.
Promotional Payouts

  • Promotional prizes will be paid to all eligible winners at the end of the contest unless stated otherwise.
Game Cancellation / Postponement

  • If a game is officially postponed or cancelled before it begins, the entire contest will be voided.
Tiebreakers

  • Tied entries are resolved using sport-specific tiebreaker rules.
  • If the tiebreaker does not determine a winner, the prize is split evenly among winners.

2. Specific Game Rules

Golf – Draft’Em

Game Description

Users participate in a live real-time snake draft to build a team of 4 golfers.
The aggregate score of the user’s best 3 golfers determines their score in the contest.
The user with the lowest total score wins.

Game Style Explained

  • The draft follows a snake format (order reverses each round).
  • Draft order is randomly determined.
  • Users select golfers from the tournament player pool.
  • Once selected, a golfer cannot be selected by another user.
  • If a user fails to pick within the time limit, the app auto-selects the highest ranked golfer.

Scoring

  • The leaderboard updates in real time.
  • Score = best 3 golfers’ aggregate score.
  • Withdrawal / Disqualification = +15 penalty.
  • Missed Cut = +12 penalty for each remaining round.
Example: If a golfer misses the cut after Round 2 in a 4-round tournament:

(Score R1 + Score R2) + (+12 Round 3 penalty) + (+12 Round 4 penalty)

Golf – Pick’Em

Users build a team of 5 golfers. The following golfers cannot be selected:

  • Scottie Scheffler
  • Jon Rahm
  • Rory McIlroy
  • Bryson DeChambeau
  • Total score = aggregate of all 5 golfers.
  • Lowest score wins.

Football – Lucky Dip First Scorer

  • Users register for the contest.
  • Each user is randomly assigned a player.
  • If your assigned player scores the first goal, you win.
  • “No Scorer” may also be assigned if no goals are scored.

Football – Last Man Standing

  • Select one team each week.
  • If your team wins, you advance.
  • If they lose, draw, or you fail to make a pick, you’re eliminated.
  • Each team can only be used once.

Rugby Union – Lucky Dip First Scorer

  • Users are randomly assigned a player.
  • If your player scores the first try, you win.
  • “No Scorer” option applies if no tries are scored.

Sweep Games Challenge 🏆

This is a peer-to-peer sports prediction contest.

  • Predict winners of major sporting events.
  • Each event awards points based on difficulty.
  • Submit predictions before the event deadline.
  • User with the most points at the end wins.

Tiebreaker: If users tie for first place, the grand prize is shared.
